A Message From Our President

I am honored to serve as the President of the NWMDA for the third year. This organization of medical and dental professionals has been meeting in Sun Valley for the last 80 years! We have a very special program for our 80th, a bit different than years past. Seems fitting, for our 80th we would change it up, right? Our meeting combines a one of a kind CME educational experience, incredible skiing with over 3,400 vertical feet and other winter activities.

This year our annual event is Wednesday February 11th though Saturday February 14th. We start the week with our registration and welcome reception on Wednesday at The Warfield Distillery and Brewery in Ketchum (280 N Main Street) from 5:30 – 9 pm with appetizers and hosted cocktails, beer, wine.

Our scientific program, organized by Dr. Dennis Siegler will be held at the Argyros Performing Arts Center (120 S. Main) Thursday and Friday with two sessions each day from 7:30 am - 9:40 am and 4:00 pm - 6pm. We have many speakers from different specialties sharing state of the art topics in medicine and dentistry. Breakfast and coffee will be provided each day.  The timing of scientific sessions allows registrants to ski with their friends and families on the beautiful slopes of Sun Valley. When purchasing your lift tickets be sure to tell them you are part of NWMDA to receive a discount.

Our 80th Presidents' dinner will be held at Knob Hill Restaurant (960 N Main St) on Thursday February 12th with a cocktail party at 6:30 pm and dinner starting at 7:30 pm.  Dr. Brian Cameron has done a fantastic job selecting the food and wine! Cheers to 80 years!!

Our week comes to a close on Saturday evening February 14th (Valentine’s Day) at the home of Larry and Carol Mast. They graciously open their home for the evening, please bring a beverage or appetizer to share. It is a fun casual evening for members and their families.

Sun Valley is a place near and dear to me, I learned to ski on Dollar Mountain and have spent many memorable winters skiing on Baldy. I encourage you to bring your families and friends and enjoy all that Sun Valley has to offer! It is such a special place. Hope to see you in February.
